Going Green: Cultivating Energy Conservation and Clean Tech Development in Chicago

Tuesday, May 11, 2:00 - 5:00 pm

Join the Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT) and other Chicago leaders for a tour of cutting-edge residential and commercial projects. CNT is an award-winning sustainability organization that launched I-Go Car Sharing (a PRI recipient) and EnergySavers, a Preservation Compact program supported by the MacArthur Foundation that provides a ‘one-stop energy efficiency shop’ for multi-family building owners to improve and preserve affordable rental housing.

The tour includes CNT's LEED Platinum offices, an EnergySavers building, and the Harold and Margot Schiff Residences, a 96-unit supportive housing LEED-rated facility. Participants will see both new and renovated affordable housing whose approaches to energy conservation include traditional and state-of-the-art technologies.
